About Refocus
Refocus is a virtual co-working room built around accountability, not conversation. You pick a session length, get paired with someone else who's also there to focus, briefly share what you're working on, then work side by side with synced timers — with a short check-in at the end.
Why we built it
A lot of us are productive in libraries and coffee shops but fall apart alone at home. The thing that reliably helps isn't another app or a longer to-do list — it's another person in the room, quietly working. That's called body doubling, and it's the idea Refocus is built on. Your friends aren't always free when you need to focus, and most video tools feel like meetings. Refocus is the opposite: quiet, low-pressure company for deep work.
Who it's for
- Students preparing for competitive exams and long study cycles

- People with ADHD who find it easier to start with someone present
- Anyone who knows what to do but struggles to start and stay on task
How a session works
- Pick a 25, 50, or 75 minute session.
- Get matched with someone who's also there to focus.
- Say what you'll work on.
- Work side by side with a shared timer.
- Check in at the end — what you got done, how it went.
